If it was my only car the STI all the way. If I had something else to drive the EVO would be my choice!

Evo, but I’d rather try a Focus RS against them, even though it’s not quite as raw as the Evo, and as a hatch doesn’t perfectly compare to the sti or the Evo.

I have always loved the Evo, practicality be damned.

Warm take: I’m seriously considering an Evo X with the dual clutch.

Maybe unpopular opinion but I’d take any Evo over any STi. 4 reasons
-Do more with less, the 2.0l is more impressive that the boxer 2.5l
-AWD system is better, can send power to each wheel. Subaru’s is old and does work but outclassed on dirt
-Better looking and actually look as it drives by. I have stopped looking when I hear a boxer. Over done and too many subbie bros
-Resale value, even 15 year old evo are still expensive

STI, but only if I can have it in a real color.

I think they would both have around the same rear seat room for that. Both would have issues with a rear facing one.
I always found it odd that both cars being so similar had completely different feels. The Subaru felt like what it is, a sported up small economy car still able to comfortably handle being that small economy car. The EVO felt like a small economy car that had been customized. Harsh ride being it’s largest drawback.
